Team of Heroes Gala Kickoff Event
For the second year in a row, Charles Fazzino was commissioned by St. Barnabas Hospital (SBH) to be their official artist for their Team of Heroes Gala. On Tuesday, September 17th, SBH held a Kickoff and Artwork Unveiling reception for the 2nd Annual NY Team of Heroes Gala. Fazzino joined NY Giants WR Malik Nabers & QB Tommy DeVito, NBC 4’s Emmy Award-winning Sportscaster Bruce Beck, and the CEO & President of SBH Health System David Perlstein for the unveiling of the official artwork. The Gala is scheduled for December 9th and is expected to raise $2 million to benefit the SBH Health System, a not-for-profit, safety net hospital in Bronx, NY.
Fazzino first worked with SBH in 2023 for their 1st Annual NY Team of Heroes Gala. The Hospital commissioned Fazzino to create a one-of-a-kind piece commemorating SBH and their work for the Bronx Community. During the Gala, Fazzino’s official commemorative artwork was auctioned off to raise funds for SBH’s initiative. The Gala was a wild success, with countless celebrities and community leaders in attendance, and surpassed its goal of raising $1 million.
Helping Underserved Communities in the Bronx
For almost 160 years, SBH Health System has partnered with people who live in the Bronx to build a healthier community and increase access to both vital services and resources that enhance overall well-being. SBH’s 2nd Annual Team of Heroes Gala will feature the entire “Team of Heroes” that will include NY Giants stars Dexter Lawrence, Kayvon Thibodeux, Deonte Banks, Devin Singletary, along side NY Jets stars Mike Williams, Malachi Corley and Braelon Allen. They will be joined by many more of their NY Giants and NY Jets Teammates at the Gala.
