Every ‘Beetlejuice’ Press Outfit Jenna Ortega Has Worn

With Beetlejuice Beetlejuice releasing on September 6, the entire cast has been making the most out of the press tour with drop-dead gorgeous outfits. Jenna Ortega, who is one of the newest actors to join the ensemble for the sequel, has been particularly intentional with her outfits by paying homage to some beloved characters from the original film.

So, to celebrate these frighteningly perfect outfits, which were a collaboration between her and her stylist Enrique Melendez, we provided a full list of all the ways Jenna Ortega incorporated “method dressing” into her outfits for the Beetlejuice Beetlejuice press tour.

1.

First up, this custom blood-red, floor-length tulle dress by Dior Haute Couture at the Venice International Film Festival.

This dress pays homage to Lydia Deetz’s (Winona Ryder) red wedding dress from the original Beetlejuice film.

Here’s a close-up of her makeup and jewelry by Dior Joaillerie.

2.

Next, is a custom Harris Reed teal and black peplum dress at the UK premiere of Beetlejuice Beetlejuice.

This outfit takes inspiration from a couple of iconic visuals from the films. First is this custom purse by Ozias Paris that is an exact replica of the house that’s in both films.

While the back seems to take inspiration from Lydia Deetz’s sewed mouth in the new film.

3.

A custom burgundy suit by Paul Smith at the Venice International Film Festival’s photocall in Italy.

This outfit pays homage to Betelgeuse’s wedding tux toward the end of the film.

Here’s a close-up of her jewelry and black and white striped purse, which was custom-made by Ozias Paris.

4.

A black and white plaid jacket with a khaki skirt from Sans Faff at the Venice International Film Festival in Italy.

This outfit pays homage to Alec Baldwin’s character, Adam Maitland.

The accessories: A large black crossbody bag from Tod’s, a pair of Jimmy Choo loafers, and Garrett Leight sunglasses.

5.

A Thom Browne cardigan with a custom gold bullion emblem embroidery, green plaid pleated skirt, and cropped white oxford shirt in New York City.

6.

This outfit takes inspiration from Lydia Deetz’s iconic outfit from the end of the Beetlejuice film.

Oh, and let’s not forget the custom Ozias Paris handbag, which says “Hangbag for the Recently Deceased” and is inspired by the book Handbook for the Recently Deceased from the original film.

7.

A custom leather corset and skirt by Lurline at Plaza Toreo Parque Central in Mexico.

This outfit pays homage to Harry the Hunter character from the original film and Bob from the voice posters from Beetlejuice Beetlejuice.

8.

An off-the-shoulder chiffon dress by Vivienne Westwood, 2009 archival collection, at a photocall in Mexico.

While Enrique does not clarify this, I believe this outfit is inspired by the Sandworms from the original film.
