Dwayne Johnson is a Hollywood superstar, but he started his career as a professional athlete. He is “honored” to have been selected to represent the US athletes in the upcoming 2022 Winter Olympics.
The actor confirmed via Instagram that he will be a liaison for the athletes beginning February 4 in Beijing.
The post stated, “Once again, it’s my absolute privilege and honor to represent our US OLYMPICS ATHLETES as they take the world stage to compete in the 2022 WINTER OLYMPICS.”
He further stated, “What a journey our incredible athletes have endured to get to this moment in history.
“I’m very proud of all our women and men – the hardest workers in the room – who will compete and represent our country.”
He completed the post with “Bring it. #WinterOlympics.”
