Drake is reportedly working on a new project with Griselda-affiliated producer Conductor Williams — and it could drop sooner than people think.
The news was shared on Wednesday (July 31) by Hot 97’s Ebro Darden, who said: “Drake is dropping a project at some point this year — that’s the rumor,” with co-host Laura Stylez adding: “I heard that it’s coming sooner than we think.”
Peter Rosenberg then chimed in and said: “I also heard he has a whole project’s worth of music done with Conductor Williams which is very Hip Hop-y.”
Drake previously collaborated with Williams on his 2023 album For All the Dogs and its Scary Hours Edition deluxe, with the Kansas City producer providing the boom bap soundbed for “8AM in Charlotte” and “Stories About My Brother.”
Williams is also known for his work with Westside Gunn, Conway The Machine, Mach-Hommy and Boldy James, as well as J. Cole (“7 Minute Drill”), Tyler, The Creator (“Sir Baudelaire”) and JID (“30 Freestyle”).

Drake has been teasing a return to music since his bitter feud with Kendrick Lamar fizzled out earlier this summer, with many fans speculating that he would look to reassert his commercial dominance by releasing pop-oriented music with broad appeal.
Akademiks has been the chief hype artist behind the 6 God’s potential comeback, writing on social media last month: “All u n-ggas who been acting like Drake finished… bookmark this tweet for 6 months from now. We dont want u n-ggas no where near us……Remember that.”
Soon after, he added: “and yes.. enjoy all the other noise and bs.. Drake new music otw. and its fye…. trust.”
The media personality also said he was looking forward to Drake sneak dissing Kendrick in his songs now the beef has seemingly cooled off.

“It’s sneak dissing time. It’s really never over. I can’t wait to hear the first sneak diss,” he said in a recent Rumble stream. “Matter of fact, I won’t even tell y’all what I heard but the first sneak diss Drake got that’s dissing Kendrick, how he positions it, that’s going to be interesting.”
The comments were widely criticized considering Drake bowed out of the feud after releasing “The Heart Part 6,” which was largely derided by fans and critics and has since been deleted from social media.
The Toronto native has also yet to respond to Kendrick’s Pop Out concert which saw him perform a myriad of diss tracks including the chart-topping “Not Like Us,” as well as bring out former Drizzy allies YG and NBA star DeMar DeRozan.
