The Grosse Ile Downtown Development Authority in Michigan USA is seeking public art submissions for Art on the Ile 2023, to be displayed on downtown Macomb Street for a two-year exhibition period running from 2023-2025. A $3,000 grant will be awarded to each selected artist! Art on the Ile organization began in 2022 with the goal to enrich the Grosse Ile community at large by integrating art into public spaces on Macomb Street, Michigan local business community. Grosse Ile Township, in coordination with the Downtown Development Authority, wants art in a public setting to be vital to establishing an inspired and thriving community as an inspired environment for art residents, while also encouraging visitors to experience the community.

The Grosse Ile Downtown Development Authority offers $3,000 stipend that will be awarded to each selected artist! Also a sculpture purchase of their own work. Each artist will receive a minimum leasing grunt of $1,500 per exhibiting year. Artists will be awarded the first annual fee after the artwork has been installed and approved by the DDA and the second annual fee one calendar year from the original date of installation, to a minimum of $3,000 over a two-year period. We recognize each work is unique. Should the artwork value at a leasing fee higher than $3,000. Artist may choose to have their displayed artwork for purchase. The Grosse Ile DDA will not take a commission of artwork sold. Artist will coordinate the sale of their own artwork.
Must be 18 or older to be considered. Artwork must be original, made by the applying artist or group. Both installation and sculptural work will be accepted for consideration.
· Artwork must be exhibited for the full length of the two-year exhibit. It must be ready for exhibit August 26th, 2023.
