Donny Hathaway’s “This Christmas” Gets an Animated Video to Celebrate Its 50th Anniversary and other Classics Jackson 5, Temptations, and Nat King Cole.

The 50th anniversary of the late Donny Hathaway’s timeless classic holiday song “This Christmas” is being celebrated in a special way.

The lyrics to the song are brought to life through an animated special drawn by cartoonist Lonnie Milsap.

The song originally released on December 9th, 1970 and has gone on to become one of the greatest holiday songs of all time.

This song is a Christmas classic but it makes me sad I am the elder statesman and we miss Christmas when you went to everybody’s house and you got gifts and that means so much to you when you younger. You would eat something at everybody’s house. And they all would have gifts for you. These days are not joyous because we are getting older. We are burying our loved ones and 2020 has made it worst. In 1970 we used to play this song in school along with the temptations, Jackson 5, and Nat King Cole. I pray our children can get back on track. But it seems most of them are more interested in being with friends than family. And they don’t have respect for the elders we had.
