Doctor works to end amputation epidemic among Black Americans in Mississippi

Being poor is hard.

Black patients are 3 to 28 more times to get their limps cut off. This is an important thing to pass on to the black community. 130,000 minorities get limps cut off a year. Now black diabetics get their limps because people don’t get the same level of care as others. Now diabetes, high blood pressure, and other things. There is distrust in the medical community. This is real work that has to be done in our community. God is real we need to spread this knowledge to the black community. They just don’t have cardiovascular doctors in poor areas.
