In real life crime cases, we came across a lot of people that we could call “cold-blooded”, “evil” and “demonically supercharged”: such as Ed Kemper, Ted Bundy and the list goes on. Another name added to this list of evil is Dalia Dippolito. The nerve wrecking story of her, hired-a-hitman will definitely have you on the edge of the seat.
How did Dalia meet Michael Dippolito?
Michael Dippolito was married to another woman when he met his to-be-wife Dalia. Michael was a wealthy man after successfully running a foreign currency investment scam through which he earned hundreds of thousands of dollars. Dalia Dippolito, on the other side, worked as a professional escort and that’s how she met her future lover.
Michael had hired her for sex through an escort service and soon they both fell in love which, eventually resulted in Michael divorcing his first wife. In late 2009, these love birds got married.
Arguments and fights between couples are not unusual. In fact, they can be beneficial for growth and strengthening their relationship. Despite that, hardly does it lead to one partner hiring a hitman for their spouse to get them murdered. This is what exactly happened with Dalia Dippolito.
Turns out, there’s more to this story than what meets the eye. Michael Dippolito signed over a large percentage of his properties to his newly wife, Dalia. Even paid over $200,000 for her plastic surgeries and gifted her jewelry worth of thousand dollars. Any caring husband would think that providing these things would help him get close to his wife, that’s what Michael thought too. Sadly, this is where this fairytale takes a turn for the worst.
Both Michael and Dalia weren’t very perfect citizens. While Dalia worked as an escort, Michael was also convicted conman released five years before meeting Dalia. He had been taking money from investors falsely. According to Dalia, she wasn’t aware of these terrible acts of her husband when she was marrying him. She found out about this when Michael’s parole officer visited their house. But, Michael claimed that she was entirely aware of his awful past.
How did Dalia plot against her husband?
Prior to six months of their marriage, Dalia became power-hungry for her husband’s money. She was so blind in lust for money that she believed the only way to acquire Michael’s wealth was to get him killed. Killing Michael would give her access to his insurance and other profitable ventures that they both shared. This is when her blood ran cold towards her husband and she started plotting against him.
Dalia never had the nerve to murder her husband with her own hands. In order to get his blood on someone else’s hands, she contacted her ex-lover “Mike Stanley”. She reached out to him by sending some saucy texts which further led her to try to convince him to get her husband arrested and sent him back to prison.
Dalia reportedly convinced Stanley to impersonate a lawyer who’d convince her husband to complete his probation and also, impersonate a doctor to convince Michael that his wife was pregnant.
Dalia’s First Plot against Her Husband
In addition to flirting with Stanley, at the same time, Dalia contacted yet another one of her intimate friend named “Mohammad Shihadeh. She usually talked to him about getting back together. During this time, she planted some drugs Michael to get him arrested and sent him to jail.
After this, Michael would often encounter with officers on the road, the officers would pull him over claiming that he was dealing with drugs and would ask for tip. Besides all of this, Michael claimed that during this time, Dalia even tried to spike his drink with anti-freeze.
At this point, Dalia was willing to go to any limits that would get rid of her husband. When planting the drugs on Michael didn’t work out, she contacted her intimate friend “Mohammad Shihadeh”, asking him if he knew someone who’d be able to kill someone for her.
He helped her get in contact with a man who lived in the city of West Palm Beach, Florid who could provide Dalia Dippolito with the gun to murder her husband. The informant and Dalia Dippolito both met at a gas station to discuss her husband’s assassination.
Things Started To Backfire Dalia
Dalia Dippolito attempted to hire an assassin to murder her husband in order to get control over her husband’s wealth. Unfortunately, for her, that’s when the luck wasn’t in Dalia’s favor when her “assassin” backed out and informed West Palm Beach Law Enforcement of Dalia’s plans. The police didn’t take the man seriously at first because they had no way of proving if this story was true. In order to see if the intentions of Dalia towards her husband were dangerous, the police sent an undercover officer “Widy Jean” to portray as a hit man who met Dalia at a grocery store parking lot.
Dalia’s Oscar Worthy Fake Reaction To Her Husband’s Murder
Dalia’s lust for wealth knew no boundaries. She paid Jean (undercover cop) $7,000 to murder her husband. The plan she suggested was that While Dalia was at the gym, Jean would shoot her husband and make it look like a robbery and forced-entry. To prove that she was dead serious about getting her husband kill, the staged hit man asked some questions that helped law enforcement to be accurate of Dalia’s intentions.
The staged hit man asked her, “How sure she was about getting someone killed, especially when it’s her husband?” To which she responded, I am 5000% sure. Her response was enough evidence for police to bring her up on charges and send her in jail. But to make it more clear.
The cops staged a scene where they would tell her that her husband (Michael Dippolito) has been murdered, just so they could film her fake, sobbing reaction. Dalia’s fake reaction to her husband’s murder news was obviously Oscar worthy.
Dalia’s World Turned Upside Down When She Encountered Michael Alive
The police officer took Dalia straight to the station under the aspect that they needed her to tell them whom she thought might be behind her husband’s killing. Once she was in the interrogation room, when her reaction to her husband’s murder was recorded, the cops revealed that her mighty hitman was actually an undercover cop. After hearing this, Dalia’s jaw dropped. She was immediately arrested for solicitation to commit 1st-degree murder.
During her First trial, Dalia claimed that she and her ex-husband (Michael) had set up this entire scene as an “Attention stunt”. They were hoping to put this footage on YouTube, get on TV and gain some popularity. When Michael heard what she had to say about all this, He immediately responded; “That’s the dumbest thing I’ve ever heard in my life.
