I am so happy for the GOAT Simone Biles and the young man from my hometown and Jonathan Owens they will be married. I am so happy for them. I am so happy for them. Life is really good right now for both of them. Marriage is a good thing for people who love each other. I wish them the best.

Biles is happy to show the ring. Twitter Tuesday, showing off photos from the engagement and writing a heartfelt tweet to her now-fiance Jonathan Owens.
Owens is a defensive back for the Houston Texans. The two have been dating since 2020.
“I can’t wait to spend forever & ever with you, you’re everything I dreamed of and more! let’s get married!” Biles wrote.
Biles is one of the famous Olympic competitors in recent U.S. history. She is widely considered to be the greatest gymnast of all time, with four Olympic gold medals and 25 medals (including 19 gold) from world championships — the most of any gymnast, male or female.
And with the Winter Olympics still in full swing, Biles has left another Olympics on the table. She has previously hinted she might want to stick around in some fashion until the 2024 Paris Games to honor coaches Laurent and Cecile Landi, who are both French.
Even if she doesn’t return in 2024, she is still tied for the most Olympic medals of any U.S. gymnast with seven.
Olympic gymnast Simone Biles and Houston Texans safety Jonathan Owens are engaged, the couple announced on social media Tuesday.
“THE EASIEST YES,” Biles said on Instagram. “I can’t wait to spend forever & ever with you, you’re everything I dreamed of and more!”
Both Biles, 24, and Owens, 26, posted a series of photos on their respective Instagram accounts showing Owens proposing in a gazebo and their celebration at dinner afterward. Owens added in his caption that Biles “really had no clue what was coming.”
The couple publically confirmed their relationship in August 2020 by posting photos together on social media. They have been vocal about supporting each other in their careers, including when Biles suffered from “the twisties” at the 2021 Olympics and withdrew from three competitions.
“Imma rides with you through whatever baby,” Owens posted on Instagram during the Tokyo Games. “Your strength and courage are unmatched and you inspire me more and more every day (sic).”
Biles has been seen supporting Owens at Texans training camp and games. She is a great woman and he is a great man they are both lucky.

The couple is super supportive of each other’s careers. During an interview with Hoda Kotb, Biles said of Owens, “He’s a real man. I just, I love him. We have a great time together … Our personalities match right up. We have the same sense of humor. And he’s just great. He’s an athlete, too, so we really understand each other and I think that’s why our relationship has been seamless.”
She added, “He’s always, always so helpful and making sure I stay on top of my therapy and all of that. He’s the best because he also goes through it [as an athlete], so he knows exactly how it is in the process.” Owens watched Biles compete in person for the first time in June and wrote glowingly about the experience: “I’m so proud of you my Lil champ 🥰❤️ Trials up next and you already know I’m there!! Love you, baby, ❤️❤️.”
