Childish Gambino surprised the crowd at the Brooklyn stop of his New World Tour with a special appearance from Shaboozey.
Going down on Sunday (August 25) at the Barclays Center, the pair performed a remix to Gambino’s new Bando Stone & The New World album track “Dadvocate” – which made for the first time the song was performed live.
Then of course Shaboozey did his smash hit “Bar Song,” which is currently at the top of the Billboard Hot 100 for a seventh week.

Earlier this month, Childish Gambino revealed that his ongoing New World Tour features cutting edge technology that he expects to be stolen by other artists.
Showing a glimpse of what he has termed the “light-binder,” which floats above the audience during his performances, the rapper and actor revealed the inspiration behind the pioneering stage tech.
He wrote on Instagram: “This is the ‘LIGHT-BINDER’. People steal a lot of my stuff after i tour (which is not only good, but encouraged), but this i really wanted to introduce because i’m simultaneously proud and entranced by it every show. this was our attempt at what was promised by concerts in the anime i used to watch as a kid.
“As the technology gets better, im sure this will be a live show staple. and for anyone that wants the tech, hit me and I’ll share it. Thanks, and see u on tour.”
Gambino had previously boasted that his tour would blow fans away.
Discussing his new album Bando Stone & The New World as well as its accompanying tour with Zane Lowe on Apple Music, Gambino said: “The live show… If this live show isn’t the best live show you’ve ever seen by the first song, you can have your money back. This album was made of is like, ‘Yeah, let’s have a big old party.’”
He added: “So when you hear all these songs, you’ll know them. I’m going to add all these new songs. I’m going to add all this new technology, but the live event is what makes it valuable to me. In real life event is what makes it valuable to me. So yeah, it’s a big… The whole album was made for arena rock.”
Gambino initially announced the tour back in May, shortly after releasing his album Atavista.
