Emma Corrin, Maika Monroe, and Grammy-nominated pop singer Charli XCX have joined 100 Nights of Hero, an upcoming period fantasy romance movie from director Julia Jackman (Bonus Track).
Fresh off their roles in Deadpool & Wolverine and Longlegs, respectively, Corrin and Monroe are set to lead the movie, with Charli XCX — known for tracks like “Boom Clap,” “Spring breakers,” “360,” “Apple,” and more — also on board to star in the movie based on Isabel Greenberg’s 2016 graphic novel of the same name.
Who is in the 100 Nights of Hero cast?
It was announced earlier this month that The Idea of You, Mary & George, and Purple Hearts actor Nicholas Galitzine has been tapped to play one of the lead roles in 100 Nights of Hero.
The upcoming feature, set in medieval times, will center on two married women (Cherry and her maid Hero) who are deeply in love with each other. Cherry’s malicious husband then challenges his friend to seduce Cherry throughout the course of 100 nights in exchange for his castle and his wife. The two women, however, plan to outsmart the husband.
Per Deadline’s description, “100 Nights of Hero watches as a charming houseguest (Galitzine) arrives at a remote castle and the delicate dynamic between a neglectful husband, his innocent bride Cherry (Monroe), and their devoted maid Hero (Corrin) is thrown into chaos.”
Known for her moniker “modern-day scream queen,” Monroe is best known for her performances in horror movies like It Follows, The Guest, Tau, Greta, Villains, Watcher, Significant Other, and Longlegs. The actress is set to reprise her role in the planned It Follows sequel, They Follow.
Corrin, whose latest feature credit is in Marvel’s Deadpool & Wolverine as Cassandra Nova, is best known for their roles in The Crown, My Policeman, Lady Chatterley’s Lover, A Murder at the End of the World, and more. The award-winning star can next be seen in Robert Eggers’ Nosferatu, set to hit cinemas on December 25.
