Cash Cobain has finally released his eagerly anticipated new song “Problem,” and it’s loaded with a stacked supporting cast.
The lengthy posse cut features 14 guests in total, in addition to Cash himself and fellow rising New Yorker Laila!, whose recent song “Not My Problem” is prominently sampled.
Featuring droning synths and pounding bass, the drill-flavored boasts verses from an array of MCs including Big Sean, Fabolous, Luh Tyler, Rob49, Flo Milli, 6LACK, Kaliii, Anycia, Don Q, YN Jay, Lay Bankz, Kenzo B, Chow Lee and Flee.
The almost eight-minute track serves as the lead single from Cobain’s sophomore album Play Cash Cobain (out August 23) and harkens back to the 2000s when hits like The Game‘s “One Blood” and Rich Boy‘s “Throw Some D’s” received epic remixes with over half a dozen rappers.
Joking about the length of the song, Cash wrote on X (formerly Twitter): “did something different for yall today yall lucky it wasn’t 15 mins lmaoo.”

“Problem” had been heavily teased by both Cash Cobain and a number of other artists prior to its release, including those who didn’t make the cut such as King Combs, Veeze and Rylo Rodriguez and Karrahbooo.
The track also went through a several different iterations, with the Bronx native hinting that he left some verses on the cutting room floor.

“It seems like every day somebody new comes out with an Instagram, aesthetic video so I really don’t know [how many people will be on the song]. It’s well over 10,” he said on Lil Yachty‘s A Safe Place Podcast last month, before adding: “Everyone not gonna make it.”
Cobain, who broke through largely off the strength of his massive single “Fisherrr” (and the subsequent remix with Ice Spice), has been one of the game’s most exciting rising stars in 2024.
Since then, his signature “Slizzy” sound has been used by everyone from J. Cole (“Grippy”) and Don Toliver (“Attitude”) to A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie (“Body”) and NAV (“6AM Thoughts”). He also co-produced the 21 Savage-assisted “Calling for You” from Drake‘s For All the Dogs album.
Ice Spice spoke about her fandom of Cobain during a recent interview Bootleg Kev, saying: “Cash really has my attention right now. I’ve been listening to him a lot. It’s really his time, so he’s mostly who I’m a fan of right now.”
