Los Angeles County and Santa Clara Country will continue indoor mask mandates.

In Southern California counties, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino and Ventura counties-the mask mandate will be removed.

According to Los Angeles County Public Health Director-Dr. Barbara Ferrer-LA county will continue to have a mask mandate until the rate of the country’s coronavirus infections reaches a “moderate” level for two consecutive weeks (as defined by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention).

Ferrer acknowledged that the national rate of infection is declining and she’s projecting that it may reach a moderate level as early as March 16.

According to the Governor’s office, unvaccinated individuals are still required to wear masks while in indoor public places. Everyone in California is required to wear a mask in K-12 schools, nursing homes and public transportation.
