Every year Broadway Cares produces an amazing production called Broadway Bares, it coincides around the time of Pride and is a highlight of the Broadway community. Broadway Bares is the celebration of the beautiful bodies, minds and souls of the performers and artists who generously give their time to raise money for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS.

This year like many other live performance producers, Broadway Bares has been affected by the outbreak of Covid-19. But not letting the pandemic dampen the love that the artists have for the Broadway community. Broadway Bares Zoom In is the online version of Broadway Cares and is a celebration of the 30 year history of bringing to the screen some outstanding performers who reminisce about their performances and showcases some of the burlesque numbers that have gone down in history as something of a legendary status.

For those of you who are interested, Broadway Cares started in 1988 as a way to bring essential service for people with HIV/AIDS and other critical illnesses in all 50 states, Puerto Rico and Washington DC.

Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS is the major supporter of essential social service programs at The Actors Fund, including the HIV/AIDS Initiative, the Phyllis Newman Women’s Health Initiative and The Friedman Health Center for the Performing Arts.

Broadway Bares Zoom In is a fundraising initiative but also features fantastic performances and interviews by many of your favorite Broadway stars including Nathan Lane, Billy Porter, Jane Krakowski, Jerry Mitchell, Nick Adams, Judith Light, Miriam Shor and Christopher Sieber, just to name a few. The verbal history of Broadway Bares is fascinating and the performances are absolutely astounding and just a little provocative as good burlesque should be!

As like so many Broadway Theaters the fundraising season for Broadway Care has been affected by this pandemic. But in a tremendous effort to continue the tradition of Broadway Bares continues thanks to the online streaming of Broadway Bares Zoom In.

Sensual male and female dancers, unbelievable choreography, mind blowing sets and out of this world costumes. If you are in the mood for something stylish and the epitome of a good time, Broadway Bares is everything that is fabulous about Broadway mixed with the opulence of burlesque.
