Britney Spears is admitting she feels she sounds shallow – the 39-year-old ultimately didn’t care, though, as she revealed she’s lost weight and looked much “bigger” in older videos ahead of the weekend. Posting to Instagram, the pop icon showed off a brand new purchase, but talk wasn’t exclusively cute fashion as Spears revealed having shed the pounds.
Britney, this year vowing to get into “shape” and already speaking of being “smaller” than she was, updated for her 35.4 million followers on Friday with a series of backyard photos from her L.A. home. The Grammy winner, wearing leggy shorts as she rocked a peach-colored and puff-sleeved shirt, told fans that she’d shopped her shirt online, but talk quickly turned to weight as Britney spoke of watching videos of herself from summer 2021 and being “bigger” in them.

With poker-straight hair and smokey eye makeup, Spears showed off her short-sleeved top and tan shorts getup, also wearing a choker necklace and largely posing with her hands in her pockets.
Taking to her caption, the pop princess told fans: “Ok … I ordered this shirt 👚 online and it’s my favorite shirt now … it’s peach 🍑 !!!!! It’s kinda weird but it makes me feel young … happy … and peaceful !!!! Odd I know … what the color of a shirt can do but believe it or not it’s pretty effective 🤷🏼♀️🤷🏼♀️🤷🏼♀️ !!!! I mean … to make a long story longer … this shirt made me realize how much weight I lost !!!!!”
The blonde then admitted having turned to Facetune to make herself look larger – “Not sure why but I have a lot of videos and pics from the summer I never used because well I’m bigger … I know that sounds shallow as hell but if I get the balls to show you videos of how much bigger I was in comparison to now you’ll say damn too 😳🙊😂 !!!!” she added.
The post quickly gained a like from hubby-to-be Sam Asghari. Britney had, earlier this year, suggested envying the 27-year-old personal trainer’s physique in a social media post. Back in August, Britney had addressed her weight loss, even detailing the order in which she’s found herself slimming down.
“It’s really weird whenever I try to slim down it usually starts with my legs 🦵🏻 first … then my stomach … then my face 🙆🏼♀️ … and that’s when I know I’ve actually lost weight !! When you swipe to the second pic you can actually really see how slim my face is but I’m not so sure I like it 🤷🏼♀️🤷🏼♀️🤷🏼♀️,” she wrote.
Over 15,000 comments have been left – “You look great Britney, no matter how big or small young are. You are so resilient,” one fan told the star. Spears continues to make headlines for her recent legal win against dad Jamie Spears – in September of this year, the 69-year-old was suspended as Britney’s conservator after 13 years.
