Britney Spears is celebrating having lost weight as she shows off an impressive weekend workout.
The pop star updated her Instagram today with a dumbbell workout as she trained from a garage gym, showing off her toned figure in her signature skimpy workout gear and even including new husband Sam Asghari in her video.
Britney, known for her love of yoga and outdoor workouts, was seen sweaty and in the thick of it as she sat on a gym bench. Fans then saw her using heavy weights to work her arms and abs, which she showed off in a sports bra and very tiny blue shorts. The pop princess also wore her hair in a ponytail – towards the end of the video, personal trainer husband Sam appeared, with the June 9-married couple enjoying a smooching tongue kiss.
Britney announced that she’s dropped five pounds in her caption, telling her 41 million followers: “Ok so yeah … I’m showing my body !! I’m sweating like crazy !!! I’m proud I lost 5 pounds.”
Britney has opened up on her gym regimen on a fairly regularly basis. Speaking of her yoga love, the star told her Instagram followers:
“Traveling from hotel to hotel can make you a little stir crazy, so I decided to start doing 2 hours of yoga in each room! The bare floors gave me a pretty solid grip on the ground without a mat. I was very sore the next day, but at least I got to use my time wisely.” She’s also mentioned her fitness in terms of her motherhood – the Grammy winner is a mom to teen sons Jayden and Sean.
“After I had Jayden, it was real easy for me to get back in shape,” she has revealed to Women’s Health. “But five years later, I started noticing changes in my body. My hips are a little bit wider because I’ve had kids. So it was crucial for me to be continuous with my exercise. Consistency is key.” In 2021, the singer expressed guilt over eating a fatty food as she revealed:
“In the past two weeks I’ve said that’s it … I have got to get in shape considering my boyfriend’s body is hotter than hot.” She added: “I was like S— where the hell am I supposed to start / run a lot and try to eat clean and be mindful with my food unless I cheat, like last night when I ate a container of peanuts”.
