Boomer Gallery Giant

London Boomer Gallery is just creating more and more interesting opportunities for artists, and bring a lot of value into each. An upcoming exhibition is, as they say, something unique and maybe a once in a lifetime opportunity for artists. Finally, an art critic at Vogue in his 18, the well known art critic Anthony Fawcett is the co- curator of Boomer’s upcoming exhibition “Walking With Giants”. Anthony Fawcett is a British writer, art critic, and a former curator to John Lennon and Yoko Ono from 1968 until 1970. He invented the Beck’s Art Sponsorship Programme and Beck’s Futures, the UK’s largest artists prize, he has also created the limited edition Beck’s Artist’s Bottles commissioning artists Gilbert & George, Damien Hirst, Jeff Koons, and Tracey Emin. During the 25 years of the Sponsorship Program he also masterminded an annual program commissioning Rachel Whiteread’s “House ” with Artangel. As Beck’s Historic Art Curator, Anthony commissioned an Andy Warhol limited edition Beck’s Bottle Label of his 1986 self-portrait “Fright Wig” launched at Art Basel, Miami, 2011.As the Global Art Curator for Vertu, he launched the Vertu Global Art Commission with Richard Wilson’s, “Hold The Line” at The Saatchi Gallery and the Shanghai Gallery of Art in 2011. Vertu supported the private Museum/Collectors Forum, Hong Kong Art Fair 2012. Anthony was a Trustee of the Whitechapel Art Gallery from 1990- 1996, and was a board member of the Rambert Dance Company and the Development Board of the Institute of Contemporary Arts. And, he is currently a member of the Whitechapel Art Gallery Development Board. Anthony is collaborating closely with London’s Tate Gallery Archive, who are acquiring his extensive archive, & working with several global agencies to launch his eighty historical interviews with both artists & musicians from the past 40 years.   

The theme of this exhibition is a reference to Anthony’s extensive career and the aim is to promote carefully selected artists into established circles in the art world. This exhibition will happen at Boomer’s in London’s gallery space in Tower Bridge Area. The space is located in one of most iconic places in the world and the most visited place in the whole UK: it is settled between modern and classic London icons with Tower Bridge 1 minute and London Bridge 2 minutes. The building is made out of traditional Victorian red brick walls and a central private bar just for visitors as unique in the whole city of London. So if you would like to have a champagne, cocktails and caviar with Anthony Fawcett, there is a nice, little submission guidelines for the show:

1.    Email the gallery 3 images of your work (3 different works) Title_ Size_ Medium_ Price and a short bio, no more than 150 words at boomergallery@gmail.com

2.    Eligible media is not limited and can be paintings, sculptures, photography, installations, prints, textile, illustrations, digital art, poems etc… 

3.    Submission is free but gallery charges a £165 fee for each participating, chosen artist because the charge of 15% sales commission, which includes printed catalogs, posters, brochures, administration, graphic design, champagne, caviar, professional photographer, hostess, security, bartender, printing and framing for the artists. Please include in the email line the open call you apply for. 

 The open call deadline is 30th of April 2023, only week away so if you have something already done, this is perfect opportunity. Artworks delivery date is the 4th of May 2023. And, the exhibition will run from the 5th of May 2023 until the 10th of May 2023 with an official opening event on the 5th of May 2023 from- 6:00 to 9:00 pm at gallery space. Another nice, little info for artists. If you are one of the accepted artists and you find it hard to ship your work to London, UK you can send photos of your work and gallery will print it and frame it for free. There are 3 available sizes for the frame 32 x 32,  cm, 30 x 40 cm and 40 x 50 cm.
