Blumenthal Performing Arts has announced its highly anticipated 2022-23 Broadway season.
“We’re going all out and bringing even more shows for our audiences to enjoy,” exclaimed Blumenthal President and CEO Tom Gabbard. “The lineup coming to Charlotte next season offers something for everyone, but what all of these shows have in common is the transcendent entertainment of theater.”
The first show is Jagged Little Pill, a Tony Award nominee inspired by Alanis Morisette’s 1995 album of the same name.
Next they will present TINA- the Tina Turner Musical, also a Tony Award nominee based on Tina Turner’s life.
In March of 2023 they will showcase Beetlejuice, a stage play based on Tim Burton’s 1988 film.
The Tony Award-winning musical, Ain’t Too Proud: The Life and Times of the Temptations is set for July 2023.
The eight-time Tony Award-winning play, Book of Mormon, is set for August 2023.
The season will round out with Chicago, MJ the Musical, A Soldier’s Play, 9 to 5 The Musical, 1776, SIX, Dear Evan Hanen, Les Miserables, Come from Away, Annie, Disney’s Aladdin and Riverdance.
