Obama’s return to Wisconsin to stump for Harris comes on the final day of in-person absentee voting in this key swing state.
It’s a fitting return, given that his first visit of this campaign was last week in Madison on the first day early voting. As of Friday morning, more than 1.3 million absentee ballots had been returned by Wisconsin voters.
Of those, 801,083 were via in-person absentee voting, according to Wisconsin Elections Commission data. Walz and his wife, Gwen Walz, will also be returning to Wisconsin on Monday as part of a battleground state “blitz,” according to the campaign.
