Author Karrine Steffans Talks ‘Prostate Milking’

Sexuality is a difficult subject for Black America to face without bringing misogyny and slut-shaming into the fold, but for New York Times best-selling author Karrine Steffans, sexuality has never been a subject that was off-limits or shameful to embrace.

Hailing from the small island of St. Thomas where everyone’s dirty laundry was public access, Karrine’s openness with her sexuality landed her among elite circles where her sexual ability became somewhat of an urban legend. But the former video vixen is more than what she has been labeled by the men she formerly engaged with intimately.

The memoirist has become one of the few women within the Black culture to advocate for female sexual liberation and to serve as a contemporary sex educator through college lectures, published works, and countless amounts of social media rants. Her courage has inspired thousands of women to own their sexual truths.

This summer, Karrine closes a chapter of her life by releasing her final memoir and seventh book, and in a telling conversation with this crusader, we spoke about Vindicated, power shifts in the bedroom, and prostate play.

In June 2015, Karrine kicked off her national book tour during the release of her last memoir, Vindicated: Confessions of A Video Vixen 10 Years Later. The release of Vindicated not only commemorates the publishing of her first book 10 years ago, but it also places a cap on a life that no longer serves her.

“When asked to write this book, there were no guidelines as to what it should be about and, at first, I couldn’t figure out what my readers would want from me, at this point in my life and career, that I could give them without harming myself,” states Karrine.

“It took a while but I came to the conclusion that there was only one story left that no longer belonged to me.”  Vindicated is a “gut-wrenchingly” honest retelling of Karrine’s life while married, a side of her that the public has never seen before.

“For years, I lived a tormented life, suffering at home while the media portrayed me as a villain or a wild woman,” Karrine expresses.  “Meanwhile, I was married, at home, raising two children, and slowly dying at the hands of a man who was and still is determined to kill me. There is a lot the public doesn’t know, but I was content to let the urban media makeup stories, rather than have them know what was really happening in my life at a time when I wasn’t ready to be this open. But now, it’s time and everything I lost or gave away will be returned to me with the publication of this book.”  Karrine seeks to empower women and save lives by sharing her personal truth through this book and finally ties up loose ends to a part of her life that has since been extradited.

The woman who put the hottest men in Hollywood’s sex life on blast is doing it again — but this time, she has another round of males that she’s sinking her teeth into.

Steffans spilled the tea on her alleged bedroom romps with Trey SongzMichael B. Jordan, and Chris Brown.

Let’s just say for one of those encounters, an umbrella might have come in handy.

Speaking openly about her sex life on the podcast The Salon with Lala Milan, Steffans described the time Trey Songz allegedly attempted to urinate on her.

“Trey Songz tried to pee on me for my birthday,” Steffans told Lala, adding she put a kibosh on that plan.

“I was like, ‘Trey, that’s not how birthdays work,” she said while laughing. “It was like my 38th birthday.”

Things got even more interesting when Steffans told Lala that she had sex with Michael B. Jordan when he was 18. Sadly, mostly for his girlfriend Lori Harvey, she labeled the experience with the actor as “fine.”

“His mother did not like that,” the former video vixen joked. “It was fine,” she said of their sexual encounter. Clearly bored with her alleged hotel sex with Jordan, Steffans added, “It was alright.”

Steffans also brought up Chris Brown, claiming she had sex with the singer when he was 18, at least she hopes.

“And then, Chris Brown, I had when he was 18. I hope he was 18,” she said, adding he may have been 19 at the time.

Steffans then went on to describe her encounter with the Grammy winner. She alleged Brown “took advantage” of the situation but made it clear that she didn’t mind at all.

“It wasn’t my idea,” she said. “He snuck up on me.”

“In my defense, he took advantage, but I liked it,” Steffans recalled. “I didn’t see it coming.”

She alleged she was wearing a dress and cleaning out her tub when Brown came up from behind, and they had a fun sexual encounter.

Steffans rose to fame when she released her explosive memoir Confessions of a Video Vixen in 2005.

The stripper-turned-model-then-video vixen detailed her alleged hookups with stars like Jay-ZBobby BrownDr. DreDiddy, DMXUsherShaquille O’Neal, and more.
