Art Basel Miami Beach 2022 Celebrates its 20th Year

Art Basel Miami Beach is typically the last major art fair of the year. Thousands of observers and buyers travel to Florida to experience the new creations on display while enjoying a little bit of sunshine. The event is held in multiple locations throughout Miami and creates a culture of vibrancy. This year’s event was the biggest in its history with 282 exhibitions from 38 countries.

Art Basel Miami Beach is also popular with celebrities. This year’s event was attended by Venus Williams, Leonardo DiCaprio, Pharrell Williams and Jon Bon Jovi among others.

Each presentation has its own theme ranging from cultural history to contemporary humanism. Some of the most viewed works include Glenn Ligon’s Untitled (America/Me), Henry Taylor’s Untitled, Amoako Boafo’s Brides Reflection, and Stanley Whitney’s Today’s News.

Art Basel Miami Beach aspires for each of its themed sections to create unique experiences for all observers. There is a variety of exhibitions, some of these taking place outdoors in order to connect the art with the environment and others are on display in a variety of indoor locations. During its 20th anniversary, Art Basel Miami Beach and its exhibitions have been seen by more than 80,000 invitees. Now the event will be open to the public.

All exhibitions will be on display to the public from December 1st to December 3rd, 2022 at the Miami Beach Convention Center.
