Angel Reese Joined Shaquille O’Neal’s ‘The Big Pod Network’ With ‘Unapologetically Angel’

Reese announced her new podcast venture last month, and the first episode dropped two days ago. She said she wanted to do the podcast to connect more with her fans. Reese will be joined by her co-host, Maya Reese, no relation.

“It’s another way for me to connect with my fans and reach new audiences I wouldn’t necessarily have before. I can’t wait to share a different side with listeners and have them come on this ride with me,” Reese told Complex.

“I mainly want this podcast to be a place for authentic and unfiltered conversations. Whether I’m sharing insights on basketball, the current trends in fashion, or the latest news in entertainment.”

Reese plans to have a variety of guests on her show.

Sharing LSU Insights…

One topic Reese tackled during her first podcast episode was about her college days at LSU. She wanted to set the record straight about the highly discussed two-week break she had during her final season at LSU.

While many speculated that Reese’s extended break from the court had to do with a failing GPA, pregnancy, or a fight with her coach, Kim Mulkey, the Sky star revealed her break was for her mental health.

Reese explained that after they lost their first game of the season to a lower-ranked team, she was accused of being unfocused on social media. At the following game, Reese didn’t play in the second half and said she and Mulkey “kind of got into it about something” so she “respectfully” sat out the second half.

During this time, Reese was also struggling to balance her presence on social media with her life, so she felt it best to take some time off and reset.

Angel Reese Talked About Dating Rumors And Her Love Life

During the podcast, rumors about Reese dating NBA star Kevin Durant entered the chat.

Her co-host brought up the conversation that began swirling around after Reese was seen sitting next to Durant courtside at a game.

“That was never a thing. I don’t even know how that even became a thing because I sat next to somebody,” Reese said. “KD has literally been my favorite player since I was really a kid and is still my favorite player.”

She also said that KD’s mom supports the WNBA and goes to many of the games.

Reese also talked about her “love life.” She revealed that her love language is “quality time” and that she usually dates basketball players.

Angel Reese Is Playing In Unrivaled!

MEGA

In July, it was announced that Reese will be playing in Unrivaled, a 3-on-3 pro women’s basketball league during the WNBA’s off-season. She talked a little about that during her podcast.

“I’m really excited. For one, I came straight from college so knowing that I don’t have to go overseas and I’m able to play still in the States is something I wanted,” she said.

“Being able to play with some of the 30 best women in the league, I’m really excited for that.”
