Grammy award-winning R&B singer-songwriter, musician, and producer Ambré has announced the release of her new mixtape, “i do this sh*t in my sleep.” This six-track project serves as a soundtrack to vulnerability and authenticity, featuring Grammy-nominated singer Alex Isley and fellow hometown artist Treety.
“i do this sh*t in my sleep” takes listeners on a playful journey of cat and mouse and sensual love-making with tracks like “SWV,” “Sideways,” and “Perfect Timing.” Although it has the structure of an EP with a cohesive storyline from start to finish, Ambré insists that it is merely a sneak peek into something bigger and timeless.
“This is not an album… I didn’t spend months working on these songs. These are a collection of demos,” Ambré said. “But if you like them then you’ll love what’s to come… because I’m working on the greatest album of all time.”
This mixtape follows her soulful cover of Robin Thicke’s “Lost Without U” and comes after her recent project, “who’s loving you?,” which features production from Jay Versace on “BAD HABITS” and a feature from Mack Keane on “ELEVATE.”
“who’s loving you?” is an extension of her 2022 project “3000°,” which pays homage to New Orleans legends Juvenile’s “400 Degreez” and Lil Wayne’s “500 Degreez.” Ambré earned her first Billboard No. 1 on the Adult R&B Airplay chart with her single “I’m Baby,” featuring British singer/songwriter Jvck James from “3000°.”
