Amazon is Shutting Down Alexa.com; What Analytics Tool Will Replace It?

Alexa is a web analytics tool that is the standard for implementation among webmasters and digital marketers. For a couple decades, this tool has been a significant metric for website and app owners. It tells you everything you need to know about your website’s global ranking, social media and search engine optimization (SEO).

Sometimes people mistake Alexa.com for the voice assistant on smartphones. However, people that have been using the internet to create content have known about Alexa.com for a while, and most of them probably have experience using the analytics tool.

Since the news broke that the service is going to be taken down in May 2022, entrepreneurs are looking for other analytics tools to use at their companies in order to provide necessary content for business plans and investor relations. A high-ranking website on Alexa is viewed as valuable, and many companies have successfully used the tool’s metrics as data to present to angel investors and venture capitalists. With the tool going away, internet entrepreneurs are going to need to find a replacement for Alexa.com.

As of right now, Amazon does not have any plans to replace the analytics tool with a new one. Consequently, every internet entrepreneur is going to have to figure out an alternative platform for capturing their much-needed data.

The following are some effective alternatives to Alexa.com: Semrush, Ahrefs, SimilarWeb, SPyFu, Moz Pro, Serpstat, and Ubersuggest. Any of these platforms can provide the analytics data that can be generated through Alexa.com. However, it seems safe to assert that in the absence of one standard analytics tool, it may take a while for there to be a new premiere analytics tool that investors will look for more so than others.
