‘Amazon Music Live’ on Prime Video

Several music streaming services plan to use livestreaming as a part of their content lineup. Amazon Prime Video does so with live sports and it is now introducing concert livestreaming with Amazon Music Live. The new service will launch on October 27, at 9:00 pm PDT.

The first three concerts have been scheduled: Lil Baby performing his album, It’s Only Me-October 27, Megan Thee Stallion on November 3, and country singer Kane Brown on November 10.

The concerts will stream on Prime Video after Thursday Night Football; they can also be available on-demand for a limited time and on Twitch.

Millions of viewers tune in for Thursday Night Football and the music subscription services has over 50 million subscribers, the company thinks that Amazon Music Live can gain traction with this audience.

Amazon wants to compete more directly with Apple Music, which is projected to reach 110 million subscribers by 2025.
