Target, one of the biggest box store chains in the retail industry; will soon be cashing in its brand new location in Port Chester, NY. Now that the holidays are rolling in; there are hopes the two-story location will open its doors by Christmas of this year.

Currently, there are three other Target locations in Westchester County; White Plains, Mount Vernon, and Mount Kisco.  This new location will be the fourth and Port Chester residents who want to stay close to home will have their own Target store without trekking to other nearby locations.

The store has not completed construction and the famous Target insignia sign has still not been installed on the building’s marquee. There’s no official announcement of the grand opening date. We will update you when it’s officially open for business.

The national retailer signed a lease for a two-level 89,781 square foot space at Gateway Port Chester outdoor shopping center formerly known as Port Chester Plaza. Target will take the space that occupied the former art supply store AI Friedman.

According to a statement from LoHud in July of 2020; Marc Wilkow President of M&J Wilkow, the firm that owns the property with MetLife said, “The lease with Target is the perfect catalyst to kick off the program we have designed with our colleagues at MetLife to benefit the communities we serve.”
