Britney Spears, yesterday using the word “conservatorship” for the first time in public, has updated her fans on how she’s really doing – specifically, now that the “cat is out of the bag.” The 39-year-old pop princess, plagued by her 2008-commenced conservatorship as she continues to battle father Jamie Spears, put honesty first as she posted for her 39.2 million Instagram followers, with the post coming upbeat and reminding fans that she’s doing well.

Spears, fresh from vacationing in Hawaii, posted in selfie mode from her L.A. mansion, where she referred to the “drama” of her legal battles and spoke of how she’s coping in that context.

Lying back in the sun and wearing a bold red bikini top, the “Toxic” singer spoke from behind white-rimmed shades, saying:

“I’m sure a lot of you guys are wondering how I’m doing and since the cat is out of the bag, literally out of the bag, and you guys know my situation, I do wanna let you guys know that things are way better than what I ever anticipated.”

While the update was well-received, what came next was less-so. Britney has, in 2020 and through 2021, garnered negative feedback from the #FreeBritney movement as Q&A videos – seemingly unlinked to her conservatorship – answered random questions she claimed were the most-asked. From her favorite Disney movie to her favorite fast food, Spears had answered the so-called questions, but fans continue to claim the queries were never asked. In fact, the most-asked question in the comments for Britney has been – and continues to be – “are you okay?”

The similarities returned in this video, with Britney resuming the front seen prior to her June 23 court appeal, after which she admitted that she’d lied about being okay on social media. Taking to her caption, the star wrote:

“Since this beautiful world 🌎 makes it so easy. To share with you guys … I’m here today trying to matter like all of us do on any given Thursday 🙄🤷🏼‍♀️🤪 … have a good day beautiful people ☀️ !!!!

The video has now been viewed over 4 million times. Following it, was a likewise-positive post, one seeing the singer reveal she’s gotten herself her very first iPad. Gleeful, Britney told her followers:

“I came in the kitchen, I saw something I ordered and it is a freakin’ new iPad,” adding: “I am so excited. My kids have owned one, I’ve never owned one. This is just a groundbreaking day.” She continued:

“I’ve always had a little phone and now this iPad is in my hands and I feel like my life is changing as we speak and I am so excited. Upward bound! Yes!”

Fans responding to the reveal and Q&A remain suspect, though. “Queen of answering questions that we never asked,” the most-liked comment reads. Spears claims the conservatorship has forced her to perform against her will and made her keep in an IUD to prevent a pregnancy. Britney told judge Brenda Penny that she wants a baby with Sam Asghari, also that she wishes to marry him.
